Hello, my name is Scott Miller, the President of RSA. I am happy to welcome you to the RSA website. The entire website was created to help you get to know who we are, what we are about, and what we do. It also serves as a hub of information for the services we provide to campus and resources we have for the Hall Councils.
The RSA officers have recently spent time to give RSA a mission statement - "improving the quality of the residential experience." In RSA, we would like to provide residential students a home away from hom and serve you to the best of our abilities. For example, we have the Food Advisory Board and the Housing Improvement Panel that work with administrators on campus to improve the food and housing on campus as well as addressing other needs of the student residents. We also have campus-wide events such as the Halloween Costume Bash, Winter Whispers Semi-Formal Dance, and the Lil Sibs Weekend where students can bring younger family to campus for the weekend.
The core value of the Residential Students Association is to empower the resident students to recognize their full potential and in turn positively impact the lives of those around them. It is the mission of the RSA to cooperate with other student organizations, to work for the good of all students, to broaden the college experience beyond the classroom, to encourage involvement on a local, state, regional, and national level, to encourage diversity and discourage injustice, and to provide quality social and educational programming on campus.
All students living in a University of Evansville residential area are considered to be part of the Resident Students Association. It is their choice to be active or not.
